Opening Speech on the 5th October 2016 in Frankfurt am Main “Cashcloud will become a market leading global company” (Translation)
Payment goes mobile. More and more users enjoy the possibility to pay contactless through their smartphones. Current trends show that the number of mobile payments has increased significantly, as shown on the graphic below.
Cashcloud decided from the beginning to implement the NFC (Near Field Communication) solution, as one of the main features of the app, which has proven to be beneficial in the long term. Direct competitors, who have proposed the two-dimensional QR technology as a solution for mobile payments, have vanished from the market, due to very high development costs.
Our partnership with PPRO Financial Limited, Principal Member of MasterCard allows us to concentrate exclusively on our core competences such as monetization and market expansion, rather than establish acceptance-point partners. The partnership has also allowed us to simultaneously expand into all Euro-States. Originally we have been present on the German, the French, the Spanish and the Dutch market and have lately managed to expand to the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Portugal, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
Poland, Roumania, Switzerland and the UK will follow in the foreseeable future. Different currencies will be available within the app, such as Polish Zloty, Rumanian Lei, Swiss Franc and British Pounds. Cashcloud is the European mobile wallet solution and one of the international trendsetters in the FinTech sector. Poland as well as other Baltic countries are currently our most important markets, as they have shown most progress in the field of mobile payment, closely followed by the Ukraine.
As of the beginning of 2017, we aim to target the US. It is a very important and promising market, which could potentially allow us to growth and expand very quickly. In 2017 the project will start taking shape and will be slowly rolled out, once we have the right partners to achieve our overall goals.
Cashcloud is delighted to have found a new group of investors in August 2016, who are supporting our expansion strategy and provide the necessary funds for stakeholder acquisition in the main NFC markets. We aim to become one of the leading mobile wallet solution in Europe. By the end of this year, we aim to successfully finish our internationalisation project and be present on all major european markets, so we can implement our marketing strategy in the first quarter of 2017. To achieve the goals outlined above, we have a seven-figure budget available.”
Cashcloud has however more to offer than only online-/-offline and peer to peer payment options. The app also incorporates additional features, which we are also planning to develop further, to generate higher revenue and achieve higher customer retention. Cashcloud is not only focusing on end-consumers but also offers solutions for financial institutions and companies. Our cooperation partners are free to choose if they want to promote the wallet under the name Cashcloud or prefer a Co-Branding option. We also develop customized solutions to meet our cooperation partners’ needs. Cashcloud is not only offering an all-in-one-solution for the end consumer but also offers banks and companies a fully functioning and customized e-wallet for their own product.
At this point I would like to thank you all for coming and I am looking forward to the upcoming discussions.
